The German Society for Applied Biostasis (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Angewandte Biostase e.V.) has been founded 14th of May 2006.

The society promotes knowledge and ethical education.

It also fosters research in mechanisms of biostasis.

It extends contacts to organizations and persons in other countries in the fields of cryonics and other forms of biostasis.

It provides help and advice during stabilization of patients before and after de-animation as well as transportation of cryonic patients and preparation for transfusion and helps with formalities as well as coordination of medical persons, relatives and funeral directors.

The society trains interested members to perform the respective tasks.
